Strengths | • 3 playable characters that all work well in certain situations • Changing Pokemon grants invinsibility and allows you to escape combos • Huge variation in moves and playstyles • All Pokemon have kill throws • When combined, PT's Pokemon are very useful for both edgeguarding and recovering to the stage | • Good frame data with many quick moves • Can land combos that deal tons of damage or deplete enemy stocks • Can reflect projectiles with his Side Special (→ + B) • Has a good projectile in his Neutral Special (B) • Neutral Aerial (A while midair) is both fast, and has a long lasting hit box that is great for interrupting combos |
Weaknesses | • Learning all 3 characters and associated matchups has a high skill curve • Ivysuar and Charizard have poor disadvantage • Cooldown on down B sometimes makes it hard to switch when needed | • Rather poor range • Doesn't have good tools for poking from the front • Somewhat mediocre recovery (can be edgeguarded if caution is exerted) |
